The extract of Grey Alder buds is specifically useful immediately after a heart attack or stroke (at higher than normal doses) to help repair damaged tissue. It is also helpful in cases of neurological degeneration. Grey alder is also used for several female  reproductive problems, such uterine fibroids, endometriosis and fibrocystic breast disease.  It is replete with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant constituents and has an anti-thrombotic action.
